taken this day before me, the undersigned, one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said Colony, who states:—

I am Kwok Cn. 1 an 21, a native of Canton, 1 now reside

at No. 18, Fossession Street. I am a servant. Co the 10th. of the

2nd. Yoon (th. Varch) 1 was engaged by a man named Ko Cho Tine to

go to No. SUE Les Voeux road lest and work for him as a servant. he

engaged me for 17.00 and my food per mouth. ne siso told me to en

fage another to assist me. I do so. I introduced Hong Soo who was

engaged by ko Cho Tine. This was on the 10th. day of the End. Moon

(St. March). He both commenced work that same day.
